Cardinal Logistics Management Corporation has been recognized as "Carrier of the Year" by United Natural Foods, Inc (UNFI)., according to a resent press release. Chad Brewer, Vice President of Logistics at UNFI, visited Cardinal's headquarters to present this prestigious award.
Cardinal operates a dedicated refrigerated shuttle program for UNFI that provides just-in-time deliveries of consolidated products from their network of distribution centers across the country. The program spans over 6 million annual miles transporting temperature sensitive products to and from 15 different locations. The award criteria included measured metrics in on-time performance, product temperature integrity and fuel saving initiatives.
Vin McLoughlin, Chairman of Cardinal, expressed his pride in receiving this accolade. "This is an amazing accomplishment that outlines the hard work and outstanding customer service our employees provide to this valued account, and their customers," said McLoughlin.
United Natural Foods, Inc. carries and distributes more than 65,000 products to more than 31,000 customer locations throughout the United States and Canada.
