Mirakl and Albertsons Companies have partnered together to launch an online marketplace powered by the Mirakl Marketplace Platform.
The online marketplace will give customers the ability to discover more specialty food items alongside beauty and wellness products from third-party sellers. Focusing on natural, organic, ethnic and alternative products, Albertsons will showcase products that are usually hard to find in stores.
The online marketplace is a central part of Albertsons' initiative to grow its ability to address trending markets and offer new products. The data collected from the marketplace will identify shifting consumer interests, regionally-specific shopping needs and food trends.
Additionally, the new platform will give third-party sellers fast access to its large customer base, allowing smaller businesses to showcase their products on a much wider scale.
Selected marketplace sellers will also benefit from product visibility and national exposure on the world class digital platform. In addition, the proprietary data will help the company evaluate what products to stock in stores while giving vendors insight into regions where they may consider investing in building distribution. `
