Companies around the globe have been making changes to their packaging to create a more sustainable alternative to the standard six-pack ring with no avail. However, Florida-based Saltwater Brewery is starting to lead the pack.
Saltwater Brewery recently released edible six-pack rings, bringing a new approach to sustainable packaging. The rings are 100 percent biodegradable and edible, constructed of barley and wheat ribbons from the brewing process. The company's packaging can be safely consumed by animals that may come into contact with it.
