Roberts Foods of North Carolina is recalling about 202 pounds of individual-serving grilled chicken entrees for undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens, according to Food Poisoning Bulletin. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. No reports of adverse reactions or illness have been received to date.
The recalled product is 10-ounce (248-gram) refrigerated packages of “Harris Teeter, Fresh Foods Market, Deli-Bakery, All Natural Grilled Chicken Strips (minimally processed, no artificial ingredients).” The top label incorrectly reads, “All Natural Grilled Chicken Strips (minimally processed, no artificial ingredients), Net Wt 10 oz. (248g)” and the bottom label incorrectly reads “Grilled Chicken Breast with Lemon Spaghettini” when both labels should read “Grilled Chicken Breast with Sundried Tomato Pasta.” In addition to the incorrect labels, the product is made with milk, which must be noted on the label.
The product was produced on July 10, 2014 and bears the establishment number “Est. 19198″ inside the USDA mark of inspection. The package code is “50223″ and it has a “sell by” date of 07/27/14. It was distributed to retail stores in Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
