Nebraska Cold Storage Hit with OSHA Fine

Fined $132,800 for 14 safety violations for exposing workers to anhydrous ammonia

Nebraska Cold Storage Inc., was cited last week for four willful violations and 10 serious safety violations by the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for exposing workers to anhydrous ammonia at its facility in Hastings, Neb.

The violations were originally found during a March inspection conducted under OSHA's high-hazard local emphasis program, and as a result Nebraska Cold Storage has been placed in OSHA's Severe Violator Enforcement Program. To read more, click HERE.
