In Australia tomato growers want the government to put labels on irradiated food. According to Alasdair MacLeod, a chairperson for Tomatoes New Zealand, “I’m sure all evidence says it’s safe and we applaud the fact the New Zealand and Australian governments are doing everything they can for border security, so the issue is not radiation.
