The Rising Beverage, the US-based maker of vitamin beverage Activate, has partnered with American Forests to observe Earth Month through 'Plant a Tree' in-store initiative.
Activate drinks come with a proprietary cap design that stores vitamins separately from the water, enabling the vitamins to stay potent, the company claims.
The drinks contain zero grams of sugar, zero calories and are naturally sweetened with stevia.
Activate, in collaboration with retail partners in: California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and the Carolinas, will plant a tree on sale of every three bottles or a maximum of 10,000 trees until April 30, 2012.
Activate marketing vice president Jesse Merrill said the 'Plant a Tree' program helps them leverage their commitment to the environment while allowing consumers to Get Activated in an initiative that directly and positively impacts the areas in which they live.
