RLS Logistics announced the opening of a new food-grade ambient storage facility in Vineland, NJ. The facility is located adjacent to the company’s current Vineland cold storage facility, and boasts an additional 36,000 square feet of storage space to the company’s customers.
“Due to the rapid growth of our direct to consumer fulfillment business, we had ambient product and packaging material taking up valuable real estate in our temperature-controlled facility. This new facility allows us to increase cold storage capacity by relocating that material in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Additionally, this allows us to focus on expanding our fulfillment lines,” said Ken Johnson, RLS executive vice president, warehousing group. “We have seen the demand from our customers to offer ambient storage, which creates momentum behind the opening of this facility as an additional logistics solution for them,” said Johnson.
The new facility brings the company’s total warehousing space to 611,000 square feet nationwide.
