Supervalu Selling Logistics Unit To Ryder

Ryder will keep TLC’s management after the acquisition and customers can expect no service disruptions.

Eden Prairie, MN: Grocery store chain Supervalu Inc. said it is selling its Total Logistic Control subsidiary to Ryder System.

Subject to closing conditions and regulatory approval, the sale will close Dec. 31, Supervalu said in a statement Wednesday.

TLC provides logistics and supply chain management services to the food, beverage and consumer packaged goods companies, Supervalu said. Ryder will keep TLC’s management after the acquisition, and Supervalu does not expect service disruptions for customers.

The companies did not release further terms of their agreement.
