The use of smart technology is said to affect the specification of big box logistics buildings over the next 5 years, according to a JLL study, while limited availability of entitled land remains the most important challenge.
From JLL:
- 71% of respondents anticipate demand in the e-commerce sector to increase significantly
- Strong growth for warehouse facilities forecasted from express and parcel delivery, third-party logistics and more.
- 73% say improving energy efficiency is highest global priority.
