Carmel Food Group of Hayward, Calif. is recalling of Rising Moon Organics Butternut Squash Ravioli for undeclared allergens, according to Food Poisoning Bulletin. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall, but consumers with allergies to milk, egg, or soy should bot eat this product as they run the risk of severe allergic reaction if they do.
The recall is prompted by a labeling mistake. Only frozen packages with SELL BY APR 09 2015 are affected. The recalled product is Rising Moon Organics Butternut Squash Ravioli, in an 8-ounce size and the UPC# 7-85030-55557-6. The product involved was distributed through retail stores nationwide.
Consumers with can return the product to the place of purchase for a refund, or contact the company with further questions.
