A California raisin grower was just allowed by the U.S. Supreme Court to take his case to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Marvin Horne of Kerman, CA is challenging the constitutionality of a Depression-era marketing order that he should keep a percentage of his crop each year “in an effort to balance supply and demand.” The Produce News quoted Justice Elena Kagan who called the law, “the silliest program ever invented.” To read more, click HERE.
