According to CBS News, the pandemic placed further stress on countries’ supply chains that were already struggling to feed their populations.

Per CBS News:

  • 10% of the global population is in extreme poverty.
  • Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced that his country will host a global coordination center for regional “food innovation hubs.”

  • The World Economic will help address “food system challenges.”
