Authorities are testing birds and poultry in a Texas county after inspectors detected a low pathogenic form of Avian flu.

Inspectors detected a low form of avian flu at a poultry farm in Texas, causing birds and poultry to be tested in Hopkins county.

Authorities are testing other poultry for the virus within a six mil radius of the Hopkins County farm.

A similar occurrence was confirmed at a turkey farm in Missouri, but posed no risk to the food chain.
