Using the stage of National Plug-In Day this past weekend as his backdrop, California Governor Jerry Brown signed six bills into law that will help them reach their goal of 1.5 million electric cars on its roads by 2025.
Included in those six bills were Assembly Bill 8, which provides $2 billion more in funding for green initiatives as part of California’s Enhanced Fleet Modernization Program, and Senate Bill 359, which funds programs to encourage the purchase of clean vehicles, including hybrid and zero-emission trucks and buses.
