Tokyo-based law firm White & Case, legal experts on the problem of unauthorized intellectual property, are predicting that companies with "very long global supply chains" will be at risk of serious legal and reputational ramifications from federal or state governments for issues arising from patents, copyrights, utility models, and trade secrets that have not been authorized or paid for in the coming years.
