Food Safety Survey: Audit Readiness And FSMA Top 2015 Priorities

Audit readiness topped safety and quality assurance priorities for 2015 among food manufacturing and distribution professionals, according to the TraceGains survey. Thirty two  percent of respondents listed audit readiness as a top concern, followed closely by FSMA compliance at 28 percent. Process involvement ranked third at 19 percent, followed by supplier relationship  management, 15 percent and “other” at 6 percent.

The survey included responses from 306 participants, of which 49 percent were managers and 33 percent were directors or above.

Limited resources was cited as the top challenge, cited by 24 percent, followed by changing regulatory requirements, 19 percent, ingredient and supplier management, 11 percent and customer demands, 5 percent.
