Concerns grew after it was discovered that some companies in Taiwan were lacing foods with harmful additives. The FDA has already banned the import of 15 products from Taiwan, which contain maleic acid. The Taiwanese government has created an inter-agency Task Force on Food Safety that has the ability to directly punish companies found to be in violation of the law. To read more, click HERE.
