AFS Technologies and 1SYNC Connect Trading Partners with GS1 Standards

With this new agreement AFS becomes the first major software company in foodservice to offer complete GS1 compliance through one single source.

Phoenix: AFS Technologies Inc. (AFS) have signed an agreement for AFS to make GDSN (global data synchronization network) data available to all of its 1500+ customers.

AFS has enabled its extensive product portfolio to support data synchronization using GTINs (global trade item numbers) and other GS1 Standards to ensure complete data accuracy between trading partners. The seamless exchange of data between the AFS PROFILE(R) Database and the 1SYNC Data Pool creates a highly cost effective model for data synchronization in the foodservice industry.

With this new agreement AFS becomes the first major software company in foodservice to offer complete GS1 compliance through one single source.

"AFS is committed to the food and beverage vertical and we understand the importance of having consistent data throughout the supply chain," says Kurien Jacob, CEO of AFS Technologies Inc. "We also want to make this easy for our customers and this new agreement allows us to be their single point of contact for business software solutions and GS1 data synchronization."

"1SYNC has a long history of success in helping communities create an efficient supply chain and we know that creating a partnership with an industry leader like AFS will make it easier for foodservice companies to realize immediate benefits from data synchronization," says Dan Wilkinson, vice president, Industry Development, 1SYNC.

"This new partnership will ensure that foodservice trading partners will be able to quickly and effectively connect to the GDSN to send and receive the high-quality product data that is needed to increase speed to market of new items, reduce costly data errors and increase supply chain efficiencies for companies of all sizes."
