Construction Starts on Port of Savannah Logistics Center

The campus will offer dual rail service through Norfolk Southern Railway and CSX

Progressive Railroading reports that Capital Development Partners has begun construction on the logistics campus at the Port of Savannah. 

The  $125 million campus will offer dual rail service through Norfolk Southern Railway and CSX. According to Progressive Railroading, the site will offer transload capability and more than 2,000 container storage positions. 

A 1,075,000-square-foot industrial building will be the first to be constructed. The building features a 40-foot ceiling, cross dock capability and dual rail service, Progressive Railroading reports. Occupancy is set for April 2019.
