DoorDash introduced Ask DoorDash, a one-stop place for users to search for food delivery, recipes, reservations and more.
No more building a grocery cart item by item only to give up halfway through. No more endless scrolling through restaurants.
"We've spent over a decade building an app that puts everything in your city at your fingertips, but more options shouldn't mean more work,” says Andy Fang, co-founder of DoorDash. “Now you can search DoorDash in your own words to find exactly what you want. And we know if the vegetarian option you prefer is on the menu before recommending a restaurant, or that you recently ordered flour and sugar before stocking up on groceries. The app works harder so you don’t have to.”
Key takeaways:
· Ask DoorDash is available now in select areas on iOS for restaurant search and grocery shopping, and is rolling out for DoorDash Reservations and to more users across the United States in the coming weeks.
· Users can ask DoorDash to tackle the grocery run by uploading a photo from a favorite cookbook, pasting a recipe link, or snapping a pic of the grocery list, and the app quickly builds the shopping cart.
· Ask DoorDash tailers food delivery options based on searches such as "filling dinner for a family of 4."
· Ask DoorDash for Reservations is coming soon, and will find the perfect spot for users‘ next meal outing.
