Arizona Beverage Co. is getting into the cannabis business as it has reached a licensing deal with Dixie Brands Inc., a Denver-based cannabis company. Under the agreement, Dixie will manufacture the products and sell them through licensed dispensaries, Food Institute reports.

The products are in the early stage of development, but is likely to start with vape pens and gummies with beverages to follow soon after.

The iced tea maker is aiming to get a head start in the U.S. cannabis market as others, suchs as Molson Coors Brewing Co., are taking a more cautious approach best testing in Canada.

Arizona is reportedly the first big American brand to step into the marijuana market. Currently, 11 states in the United States have legalized recreational marijuana and medical marijuana is legal in over 30. However, since the substance is still against the federal law, it cannot be transported across state lines.
