
CTI Foods is recalling 29,000 pounds of Jimmy Dean frozen sausage links after reports of metal contamination. At the time of this publication, there have been no reports of injuries.
Five consumers have complained after finding metal pieces in their Jimmy Deal frozen, ready-to-eat sausages.
According to AJC, the recall affects 23.4 ounce pouches of "Jimmy Dean Heat n' Serve Original Sausage Links Made with Pork & Turkey."
The meat was produced on Aug. 4, 2018. The USDA is urging consumers who may have bought the potentially contaminated links to return them to the store or throw them out.
