Food Safety & Humane Slaughter Practices Ignored

The USDA Office of the Inspector General released his report, “Food Safety and Inspection- Service Inspection and Enforcement Activities At Swine Slaughter Plants.” This report points out that the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) “doesn't meaningfully attempt to stop repeat violations of food safety laws.” According to the Huffington Post’s Bruce Friedrich, it all “but ignores its humane slaughter mandate.
