The U.S. Department of Agriculture will issue $34 million in aid for agriculture producers to help recover from the 2017 natural disasters. The Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-raised Fish Program (ELAP) will help cover losses and are a part of a broader USDA effort to help producers recover.

Payments are currently being made to farmers.

ELAP assistance is provided for losses not covered by other disaster assistance programs.
