Reily Foods Achieves Highest Standards For Food Safety

Reily Foods Co. has received the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Food Safety Initiative Certification across its manufacturing facilities.

New Orleans: Reily Foods Co. has received the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Food Safety Initiative Certification across its manufacturing facilities. The BRC is an internationally recognized accreditation body for the audit and certification of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). This certification recognizes that Reily Foods' manufacturing facilities are committed to achieving worldwide best practices in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.

"This certification shows that our manufacturing operations are rated among the highest in food safety. We are extremely proud of this achievement, and we will continue to strive to maintain the highest safe food manufacturing standards," says Reily Foods' New Orleans plant manager, Louis Diaz.

Well known packaged foods brands are produced at the company's manufacturing facilities in New Orleans, LA and Knoxville, TN including: Luzianne Tea and Coffee, French Market Coffee, Blue Plate Mayonnaise, and Swans Down Cake Flour, as well as a variety of private label products.

"We want consumers to know we are putting the best, safest products on the market," says Duane Montague, plant manager of the Knoxville facility. "The entire company has whole-heartedly embraced the culture required to be among the safest in food manufacturing practices."

The New Orleans facility received an A rating in July 2011. The Knoxville facility received its certification in September 2010.
