Allstates WorldCargo acquired Promptus, LLC, a customs broker and logistics firm focused on trade with Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean.
The acquisition expands Allstates WorldCargo’s operations in Miami, and adds a licensed customs brokerage division to Allstates WorldCargo’s service portfolio, allowing Allstates to offer customs clearance and compliance services to its customer base.
“Miami plays a critical role in global trade, particularly for shipments moving to and from Latin America,” says Kendra Tanner, Allstates WorldCargo’s president and CEO. “With our strong domestic coverage, this acquisition positions us to provide seamless solutions for global customers to access our coast-to-coast U.S. network, while having greater control over customs brokerage services, improving coordination, visibility, and overall service reliability.”
“We are very pleased to be joining the Allstates WorldCargo team. Joining Allstates allows us to expand our reach while continuing to deliver the high level of service our customers expect. Combining our customs brokerage expertise with Allstates WorldCargo’s logistics network creates a more complete solution for customers operating in the Miami market and beyond,” adds Julio Desangles, one of the founders of Promptus.
Key takeaways:
· Promptus’ team and operations will integrate into Allstates WorldCargo’s U.S. network supporting customers with customs entry filing, tariff classification, duty management, and regulatory compliance alongside international freight services.
· Promptus was founded in 2001 by Desangles, Ramon Perez, and Milton Tejada. All three leaders will remain with Allstates WorldCargo.
