North American Truckload Data Available through Partnership

LLamasoft and Chainalytics partner to integrate Freight Market Intelligence Consortium truckload data with mutual customers

Ann Arbor, Mich. and AtlantaJuly 1, 2013LLamasoft, a global provider of supply chain design software solutions, and Chainalytics, a supply chain market intelligence firm and consultancy, announced a partnership to integrate Chainalytics’ proprietary Freight Market Intelligence Consortium (FMIC) truckload data with LLamasoft’s and Chainalytics’ mutual North American customers.

Chainalytics’ FMIC provides strategic freight market intelligence, benchmarking and comparative analysis through a private, secure platform. Shippers gain objective insight into freight markets that enables better strategic and tactical decisions regarding transportation and supporting business practices. Driven by actual shipment details from over 100 companies, FMIC normalizes the cost drivers that impact overall transportation costs to provide subscriber-members withinsight into market-based freight costs.

The partnership provides FMIC members and LLamasoft customers with a seamless environment to access, manipulate and load transportation rates into supply chain design models. Access to FMIC benchmarks are included within LLamasoft’s cloud-based Data Services application, a supply chain design reference and benchmark data offering, and integrated into LLamasoft Data Guru, a data analytics application, to ready it for supply chain modeling in LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru.

“The benefits of membership within Chainalytics’ Freight Market Intelligence Consortiums extend far beyond benchmarking of transportation rate data,” said Matthew Harding, principal of freight market intelligence at Chainalytics. “FMIC members now have the additional benefit of integrating accurate and timely freight market intelligence into LLamasoft solutions, reducing set-up time, increasing accuracy and allowing automated integration to a trusted source of market intelligence.”

“LLamasoft has a responsibility to provide our customers with business solutions that combine the best technology and data sources available,” said Jeff Metersky, vice president of solutions strategy for LLamasoft. “By offering customers integration to freight market data through membership in the Chainalytics FMIC platform, we’re enabling a higher degree of data accuracy and support for critical supply chain decisions.”
