Carrier Transicold introduced the new OptimaLINE container refrigeration unit, which offers various enhancements, including up to 15% fuel efficiency improvements.

“We are committed to listening to our customers and providing exceptional solutions to meet their needs,” says Vineet Kashyap, VP and general manager, global container refrigeration, Carrier Transicold. “OptimaLINE boosts fuel efficiency to operate sustainably while reducing operating expenses for our customers.”

Key takeaways:

  • OptimaLINE takes advantage of multiple fundamental robust design advances, including a variable speed scroll compressor that has a permanent magnet motor driven by a variable frequency drive. This enables the system to operate at optimal levels, under different ambient conditions, setpoints and even at different cooling loads.
  • The OptimaLINE system also maintains high-energy efficiency at all operating points at all load conditions with outstanding performance in terms of efficiency and reliability.
  • It also lowers annual energy costs by up to 15% compared to previous Carrier units, and provides a greater reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 40% compared to previous Carrier units.
