The Gardner acquisition is the single largest acquisition in CRST’s history. Adding the Gardner service portfolio to CRST greatly accelerates CRST’s goal of reaching $2 billion in annualized revenues by 2018.

Watco Supply Chain Services Acquires BCM Logistics

BCM Logistics provides door to door intermodal, operating as an Intermodal Marketing Company (IMC), contracting direct with the Class I Railroads and the majority of the ocean carriers for repositioning of containers in domestic service.

Hyundai Merchant Marine to Form Mini Carrier Alliance

HMM will join the new partnership, named Mini Alliance, with three other carriers Korea Marine Transport, Sinokor Merchant Marine and Heung-A Shipping.

The alliance plans to deploy 15 vessels on four Southeast Asian routes – covering Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand from South Korean port cities – starting from end-September in an effort to reduce damage caused by Hanjin’s halted operation.

The addition of LogFire will complement the logistics functionality of the Oracle SCM Cloud by adding cloud-based warehouse management capabilities.

U.S. Judge Extends Hanjin Bankruptcy Protection, Helping Vessels Docked at U.S. Ports

Hyundai Merchant Marine to Acquire Hanjin Shipping’s Assets

The creditors and financial authorities opted for the receivership of Hanjin Shipping and the acquisition of Hanjin’s core assets by Hyundai Merchant Marine, with the idea to achieve a merger between the two national flag carriers at a minimum cost.

The financial authorities and creditors are estimating that Hyundai Merchant Marine will have to spend 300 billion won to 400 billion won on the key asset acquisition.
