According to Verdantix, an analyst firm, large food producers need to devote time in codes of conduct for managing environmental issues in the supply chain and improve future performance.
“The world’s largest food producers have impressively detailed supplier codes of conduct for social issues such as child labor, collective bargaining, discrimination, health and safety and working hours,” says Rodolphe d’Arjuzon, global head of research at Verdantix.
