The Sahara Forest Project is a plan to engage multiple systems in Qatar to produce food, fresh water and clean energy through the use of seawater. EcoGeek.org reports, that “seawater, is pumped from the nearby Persian Gulf,” which is used to “cool and humidify the greenhouses.
