GENCO Promotes Two Key Members of Leadership Team

Tom Perry was promoted to chief technology officer and Mike Simpson to president of GENCO’s Retail Logistics

Pittsburgh, Pa.Feb. 28, 2014GENCO, a provider of product lifecycle logistics solutions, announced two leadership promotions. Tom Perry was promoted to chief technology officer and Mike Simpson was promoted to president of GENCO’s Retail Logistics (GRL) business unit.

 
As chief technology officer, Perry will lead GENCO’s information technology (IT) organization and newly established research and development (R&D)/robotics team. He will focus on leveraging technology to assist all of GENCO’s business units in achieving their business strategies. Perry was with GENCO for more than 18 years, serving in increasingly important roles, including as president of GRL for the past five years. Under his leadership, GRL’s business increased 180 percent.
 
As president of GRL, Simpson will assume Perry’s leadership role for GENCO’s second largest business unit. In his new role, Simpson will ensure that GRL’s business execution is aligned to support its significant growth plans. Throughout his more than 14 years with GENCO, Simpson assumed increasingly important operations positions, including most recently as senior vice president of operations for GRL.
