1. How do I submit a nomination?
CLICK HERE to complete the electronic nomination form. All applications must be submitted electronically. Applications emailed to Food Logistics' staff or submitted through social media channels will not be considered.
2. Can I submit a nomination for a company that's been previously submitted/named a winner?
Yes, we love repeat winners. As long as the submission is able to explain differences/achievements/progress from previous years' submissions.
3. How long should my responses be?
There is no word count or character limit to the responses. In fact, the more information, the better. Submissions that tell a story and detail use cases, the results and more are more inclined to be considered.
4. Is there a limit to the number of nominations I can submit?
Yes. Limit one nomination per company.
5. If I submit multiple applications for the same company, will that increase the chances of that nominee winning?
No. In fact, submitting multiple applications for the same company could actually hurt the chances of winning. We suggest companies communicate internally to discuss who will be submitting the application.
6. I am a PR agency/marketing firm. Can I submit on behalf of my client?
Yes, of course. PR agencies/marketing firms can submit on behalf of their client. PR/marketing firms can nominate one or more client.
7. Who is eligible?
This award is exclusive to the cold food chain audience only; 3PLs and cold storage providers in the cold food and beverage sector (growers, producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, packagers and grocers) and the logistics sector (transportation, warehousing, distribution, software and technology). Learn more about our audience here: https://www.supplychainnetworkmediakit.com/ If the company being nominated does not work in or have customers in the cold food chain space, that submission will not be eligible for this award.
8. How do you determine a winner from the submission?
Submissions must tell a story; they must detail the use cases, the results and more. The more information, the better. Those submissions with one-sentence answers or no examples will not be considered.
Winners ARE NOT determined based on relationship or advertising position with Food Logistics.
9. What if I just submit the nomination but don't pay the application fee?
Both the completed application and the paid application fee must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered. Missing just one of those two pieces will result in an incomplete submission and will be automatically disqualified. Please check to see that you received a transaction receipt via email for the application fee as well as a “Thank you for your submission” popup message for the actual nomination.
10. The nomination form asks if I'm attending certain industry shows. Does me attending those shows have any effect on me winning?
No. We ask to see who's attending certain industry shows that our team will also be attending in case we can meet up in person (we love to meet winners in person) and in case we plan to host some awards' event on-site at the show. Your attendance (or lackthereof) at any industry event has no bearing on the consideration of your application.
11. What is the entry fee?
There is a $99 submission fee associated with this award. This also includes access to the logo license should you win. The logo license gives you unlimited rights and full access to include, share and embed the award logo anywhere, everywhere.
