1. How do I submit a nomination?
CLICK HERE to complete the electronic nomination form. All applications must be submitted electronically. Applications emailed to Food Logistics' staff or submitted through social media channels will not be considered.
2. Can I submit a nomination for a company that's been previously submitted/named a winner?
Yes, we love repeat winners. As long as the submission is able to explain differences/achievements/progress from previous years' submissions.
3. How long should my responses be?
There is no word count or character limit to the responses. In fact, the more information, the better. Submissions that tell a story and detail the use cases, the results and more are more inclined to be considered.
4. Is there a limit to the number of nominations I can submit?
Yes. Limit one nomination per company.
5. If I submit multiple applications for the same company, will that increase the chances of that nominee winning?
No. In fact, submitting multiple applications for the same company could actually hurt the chances of winning. We suggest companies communicate internally to discuss who will be submitting the application.
6. I am a PR agency/marketing firm. Can I submit on behalf of my client?
Yes, of course. PR agencies/marketing firms can submit on behalf of their client. There is no limit to how many companies are submitted per agency/firm.
7. Who is eligible?
This award is exclusive to the cold food chain audience only; 3PLs and cold storage providers in the cold food and beverage sector (growers, producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, packagers and grocers) and the logistics sector (transportation, warehousing, distribution, software and technology). Learn more about our audience here: https://www.supplychainnetworkmediakit.com/ If the company being nominated does not work in or have customers in the cold food chain space, that submission will not be eligible for this award.
8. How do you determine a winner from the submission?
Submissions must tell a story; they must detail the use cases, the results and more. The more information, the better. Those submissions with one-sentence answers or no examples will not be considered.
Winners ARE NOT determined based on relationship with Food Logistics. Winners ARE ALSO NOT determined based on their advertising with Food Logistics. Nominee names and company names are hidden in the vetting process; Food Logistics' editorial staff vets based on the submission itself, which is why telling a story and providing clear examples is imperative to determining winners vs. non-winners.
9. What if I just submit the nomination but don't pay the application fee?
Both the completed application and the paid application fee must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered. Missing just one of those two functions will result in an incomplete submission and that application will be automatically disqualified. Please check to see that you received a transaction receipt via email for the application fee as well as a “Thank you for your submission” message for the actual nomination.
10. What is the entry fee?
There is a submission fee associated with this award of $99.
11. I submitted a nomination. What’s next?
Thank you for submitting your nomination. Now we wait until submissions close before we can begin the vetting process.
12. How will I know if I won?
After submissions close, Food Logistics' editorial staff will need a couple of weeks to vet the nominations. Winners will then receive an email with additional instructions, embargo information, etc.
13. Can I make changes to the nomination after I hit submit?
No, unfortunately you cannot make edits or changes to the nomination after it’s been submitted electronically.
14. Do I need to submit logos or anything at time of submission?
There will be places throughout the submission process asking for company logos, however this is not mandatory to complete the submission.
15. How is my submission judged?
Vetting of the submissions is based on the ability to outline in detail responses to the questions. Those submissions lacking specifics may not be considered. Case in point: The more information, the better. Winners ARE NOT determined based on relationship with Food Logistics. Winners ARE ALSO NOT determined based on their advertising with Food Logistics.
