The past 18 months have been a tumultuous time for U.S. supply chains. From product shortages and driver shortages to increased security measures, enhanced technologies and a new way of doing business and delivering product, the cold food chain continues to face supply chain disruption after supply chain disruption. But, it's the rock stars behind the scenes that continue to prove resilience and strength. The last time Food Logistics published its Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award was right when the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic started.
Now, 18 months later, the cold food and beverage industry has completely changed. Consumers have changed how they shop for groceries. Companies have changed how they operate.
That's why it's time to honor and celebrate those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to protect its people, improve product and keep goods moving through the supply chain, no matter what.
Nominations are open for Food Logistics' 2022 Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award, which recognizes influential individuals whose achievements, hard work and vision have shaped the global cold food supply chain.
A frequently asked question is, is my company eligible? If your company touches the cold food chain in any way, whether it be producing the food, transporting the food, packaging the food, creating software that tracks/measures the food, selling the food, storing the food or promoting the food in any way, shape or form, then YES, you and your company are eligible.
Deadline for submissions is Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021.
