Study Shows 89 New Planned Food, Beverage Projects in January

There were 58 new construction of food and beverage processing facilities and 20 new distribution and industrial warehouse projects recorded in January.

Research by SalesLeads shows 89 new planned food and beverage industry projects tracked during the month of January. Planned industrial project activity within the sector increased by 8% from the previous month.

The following are highlights of new food and beverage industry construction:

·        58 new construction of food and beverage processing facilities.

·         20 new distribution and industrial warehouse projects.

·         25 new project renovations/equipment upgrades.

·         9 plant closings.

FLORIDA: A fruit juice manufacturer is planning to invest $98 million for the construction of a 320,000-square-foot processing facility in Bartow, Fla., with completion slated for January 2021.

ARIZONA: A beverage company has agreed to lease a 916,000-square-foot production and warehouse facility in Glendale, Ariz., which is scheduled to be completed in the fall.  

IOWA: Diversified food products manufacturer is planning to invest $32 million for equipment upgrades on its Fort Madison, Iowa, processing facility.

ILLINOIS. Meat processing company is planning to invest $27 million for an expansion of its Caseyville, Ill., processing facility.

MISSISSIPPI. Specialty frozen food manufacturer is planning to invest $27 million for an expansion of processing facility in Oakland, Miss.  

NORTH CAROLINA. Poultry processing company is planning to invest $60 million for a 38,000-square-foot expansion and equipment upgrade of its processing facility in Mocksville, NC.
