SATS, through its subsidiary Country Foods, developed an AI-enabled end-to-end control tower to monitor global threats in near real time and strengthen the resilience and reliability of its commercial supply chain, from farm to distribution.
“In a data-saturated environment that demands quick decisions, the AI-enabled control tower has proven itself as a game changing advantage for managing global operations. The control tower allows us to see disruptions earlier, understand their implications faster, and act before they escalate into supply problems. This strengthens safety, efficiency and resilience across our operations,” says Terry Tan, CEO, Country Foods and SVP, integrated supply chain, SATS Food Solutions.
“Digital transformation is no longer optional for supply chains; it is foundational to business resilience and management agility. We are most encouraged by the success of the AI-enabled control tower in Singapore. This facility serves as a showcase for how AI can be applied in other SATS business activities, such as air cargo operations, at command centers across our global network. SATS will continue to leverage AI for greater real-time insights and operational control to enhance safety, market responsiveness and customer service,” adds Kerry Mok, SATS president and CEO.
Key takeaways:
· Country Foods is part of SATS Food Solutions, an Asian airline caterer and food solutions provider that runs central kitchens with large-scale food production and distribution capabilities across a wide range of cuisines.
· The control tower operates around the clock to track global risks and the movement of food supplies across sea, air and land. By fusing data from news sources, digital platforms and live logistics systems, it provides early warning of potential disruptions and supports faster, better-informed operational decisions.
