Kane Is Able Expands Distribution Operations To Detroit

Third-party logistics provider is adding a 60,000 square foot facility in Brownstown, Michigan, located 21 miles south of downtown Detroit.

Third-party logistics provider Kane Is Able, Inc., recently announced plans to add a distribution center in Michigan to its national distribution network in early February, addressing growing customer demand in the Detroit market.

Kane will be moving into a 60,000 square foot facility in Brownstown, Michigan, located 21 miles south of downtown Detroit. The operation will provide cross dock, distribution, and transportation services, and it will employ approximately 60 associates.

This opening follows recent expansions in the Southern California and Atlanta markets, and gives Kane a national network that now totals 6.7 million square feet of distribution space in 21 facilities in primary locations like Detroit, Southern California, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Kansas City, New Hampshire, and Maryland, as well as more than 2 million square feet of distribution space in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the site of Kane’s corporate headquarters.

Kane also manages a premier asset-based transportation fleet with retail consolidation services to provide customers with on-time, overnight delivery service to Northeast states, as well as nationwide deliveries throughout the lower 48 states.
