Half of the rice tested positive in the Guangzhou region of China for cadmium. Cadmium, which is chemically similar to mercury and zinc, is a known carcinogen and dangerous when ingested. “According to data released by Guangzhou’s Food and Drug Administration, 44% of the rice tested within the city of roughly 12 million people showed high cadmium content.” To read more, click HERE.
