Save America's Working Vehicles launched to ensure that America's farmers and ranchers can afford the essential vehicles needed to do their jobs.

This initiative comes in direct response to compounding trade pressures. Since Aug. 18, 2025, off-road vehicles have been subject to a 50% tariff on their steel content, with no country exemptions. A revised Section 232 proclamation, effective April 6, further restructured these tariffs, applying a 25% tariff on the total customs value of most imported off-road vehicles.

“Off-road utility vehicles are fundamental to American industry—from agriculture and energy production to emergency response and beyond,” says Todd Cranney, executive director, Save America's Working Vehicles. “We must act swiftly to ensure that as President Trump continues to fight for America on the global economic stage, the Americans who make this country great do not suffer unintended consequences. Targeted relief would ensure that these critical machines are not burdened by tariffs that raise costs, disrupt supply chains, and ultimately shortchange hardworking Americans.”

Key takeaways:

·        Save America's Working Vehicles will advocate for targeted relief from federal tariffs on finished off-road vehicles that threaten access to the UTVs and ATVs essential to the American workforce.

·        Save America's Working Vehicles advocates for targeted tariff relief to keep work vehicles affordable for the millions of working Americans who rely on them every day.

  • The industries that power the economy, from farming to defense and energy, utilize UTVs and ATVs to perform critical functions that no other vehicle can match. Lowering the cost burden of these vehicles will help drive economic growth and prosperity.
