Kristian Strand Succeeds Jürgen Fischer as President, Danfoss Climate Solutions

Danfoss announces that Kristian Strand has been named president of Danfoss Climate Solutions. He succeeds Jürgen Fischer who, after 16 years with Danfoss, has decided to retire. Strand, who is currently serving as divisional president, commercial compressors in Danfoss Climate Solutions, will join the Danfoss Group Executive Team and take over as president of Danfoss Climate Solutions as of April 1, 2025. 

Hellmann Appoints Gilles Duffaut as New Managing Director France

In mid-January, Gilles Duffaut took over as the new managing director of the French subsidiary of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (Hellmann France). He succeeds Alex Delrue, who has managed both the Spanish and French subsidiaries in a dual role for the past five years. With the creation of this additional position of managing director France, Hellmann sets a strong signal for ongoing growth and further development of its position in the strategically important market of France.   

Saddle Creek Adds Senior Business Development Director

Saddle Creek Logistics Services announces that Ryan Calvin has joined the company as senior business development director. Based in Cincinnati, Calvin will be responsible for driving sales growth while delivering value for clients and prospects. With over a decade of experience in retail and ecommerce, Calvin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the company. He most recently served as director of sales at Capacity. Previously, he held sales management positions with Radial Inc. and Trade Global.

Odyssey Logistics Names Gerald Hofmann President of Integrated Marine Logistics Division

 Odyssey Logistics announces Gerald Hofmann as president of the company’s Integrated Marine Logistics division. With more than 30 years of experience driving growth across global supply chains, Hofmann will lead Odyssey’s multimodal logistics operations across Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and Puerto Rico including its licensed non-vessel operating common carrier services. Hofmann’s leadership of Odyssey’s presence across important Jones Act lanes positions the company for broad growth while supporting seamless operations across critical U.S. and international shipping routes. 

Norfolk Southern Names Lori J. Ryerkerk to Board of Directors  

Norfolk Southern Corporation appoints Lori J. Ryerkerk, former chairman, chief executive officer and president of Celanese Corp., to the Board of Directors (the "Board"). Ryerkerk brings more than three decades of global leadership experience in the energy, manufacturing, and chemical industries. Her appointment expands the Board to 14 members. 

Dr. Patricia Hendren Appointed Vice-Chair to the Federal System Funding Alternatives Advisory Board

Dr. Patricia (Trish) Hendren was selected to serve on the newly established USDOT Federal System Funding Alternatives (FSFA) Advisory Board. Dr. Hendren will join fourteen transportation leaders from across the country bringing together their experiences in transportation policy, privacy, and industry to provide recommendations for the structure, scope and methodology for the national per-mile user fee pilot, the national public awareness campaign and report to Congress.  

Bob Erexson Retires from Polar King After Four Decades of Service 

Polar King International, Inc. announces the retirement of Bob Erexson after an illustrious 41-year career. Erexson, a cornerstone of Polar King's success and growth, concluded his tenure on Jan. 14. Erexson’s journey with Polar King began in October 1983, when he joined as a production employee. At the time, Polar King employed just six people and operated a fleet of a dozen walk-in units. Over the years, Erexson’s expertise and commitment propelled him into roles such as final assembly foreman, production supervisor, and plant manager—the position he held until his retirement.

Amazon Announces Jason Buechel as VP of Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores

Jason Buechel will take on an expanded responsibility leading Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) while maintaining his current role as CEO of Whole Foods Market (WFM), joining the Stores Leadership Team. He has been with WFM since 2013. Prior to his role as CEO, he served as COO, providing operational leadership over all WFM physical stores, and overseeing the company’s technology, supply chain and distribution, store real estate and design and HR functions.
