Culina Logistics has recently finished fitting its entire fleet of 300 trucks with the TankSafe 'Impregnable' device with the "anti-roll" spill mechanism, to support its objectives to prevent diesel spills.
Culina Logistics' Fleet Compliance Controller, Oliver Shenton said: "I am delighted with the performance of the TankSafe 'Impregnable' device. Not only will it help prevent fuel theft, but also means we are able to prevent diesel spills, which assists our Health and Safety aims."
It is commonly known throughout the industry that the TankSafe 'Impregnable' contains a float-valve, which prevents diesel spills in a truck's normal operation. However, the TankSafe 'Impregnable' device has now been supplemented by the incorporation of the 'anti-spill' roll mechanism at the top of its neck. The new addition crucially means that if a truck overturns and the fuel cap is displaced, significant fuel spills can be prevented and the potentially catastrophic Health, Safety and Environmental consequences alleviated.
Culina Logistics' decision to protect its fleet with the Impregnable is the latest success story for TISS, following record breaking TankSafe sales for the first quarter of the financial year and TISS being awarded the 2011 'Fleet Safety Product Award' from Brake at their prestigious annual 'Fleet Safety' Awards show.
TISS' Commercial Director, Matthew Rose, commented: "As demonstrated by our recent award win, TISS are hugely committed to continually improving our products and ensuring they offer the best value to our customers. We also remain deeply committed to the wider goal of improving road safety. We are delighted the TankSafe 'Impregnable' contributes to this and is also helping Culina Logistics achieve their Health and Safety compliance objectives."
