Jennie Malafarina, co-founder of FR8MVMT, was named a recipient of the 2025 Women in Supply Chain Forum™ Award, presented by Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, and sponsored by Let’s Talk Supply Chain, in the Trailblazers category.
Malafarina co-founded FR8MVMT in 2024 to create opportunities for individuals and companies in the supply chain industry to connect locally. Before founding FR8MVMT, she primarily worked in senior-level marketing roles at supply chain technology companies, including Banyan Technologies, Transportation Insight, and Trimble Transportation. She also serves as the CEO of Virago Marketing.
Malafarina is constantly removing constraints and pushing the status quo for women in the supply chain. In 2025, she organized 12 monthly FR8MVMT events across the country, some taking place off-site during national industry events, where attendees can mingle with industry power brokers, have their voices heard and offer hands-on perspectives and insights to shape the industry and advance their careers through networking opportunities.
She also launched the Women in Logistics Marketing Association (WILMA) to help women at all levels, from interns to seasoned executives, understand the industry and communicate the value of their roles and activities to the boardroom.
Malafarina sat down live at the 2025 Women in Supply Chain Forum™ with Sarah Barnes-Humphrey, founder of Let's Talk Supply Chain podcast and Blended Pledge program, both presenting sponsors of the Women in Supply Chain award, to talk about her unique take on work-life balance, how she turns marketing from a cost center into a revenue driver, and the importance of building community within the supply chain space.
