Chicago: ArrowStream, a provider of logistics services and supply chain management technology for the foodservice industry, announced that Centralized Supply Chain Services, LLC, (CSCS), the sole purchasing agent for the Applebee’s and IHOP systems has renewed its logistics contract with ArrowStream. Prior to the formation of CSCS in February 2009, Applebee’s had been an ArrowStream customer, signing with ArrowStream more than three years ago.
ArrowStream Logistics provides optimization, procurement and execution of inbound freight to:
• Manage inbound logistics from manufacturers to distributors
• Aggregate volume across all of its customers to secure best freight pricing
• Supplier and DC sourcing optimization, through analysis of current locations and sourcing strategies to identify cost reductions and generate ongoing savings.
CSCS, which also uses ArrowStream’s OnDemand supply chain platform, cited reductions in landed costs in the form of rebates to its members and increased supply chain efficiencies as primary drivers for its renewal of ArrowStream logistics services.
“More than three years into our relationship, ArrowStream continues to help CSCS add value to its members. ArrowStream’s diligent freight optimization and execution helps ensure continuity of supply. Their creative and strategic approaches to supply chain optimization have generated significant savings over the past two years,” said David Parsley, president and CEO, CSCS.
“CSCS is entirely focused on providing value for their members, and that makes them a terrific partner for ArrowStream. We’re very pleased that they’ve renewed their logistics services with ArrowSteam and look forward to continuing a long and mutually beneficial relationship,” said Rodger Mullen, president of ArrowStream.
