Sam was also one of the founding partners of US Growers Cold Storage where he instilled the philosophy that has led to US Growers success since its founding in 1950: "Take care of your customers."
Sam was also known as a modest but very generous philanthropist.
However, the most important thing to Sam Perricone, was taking care of his family. US Growers considers its loyal employees family; it is in that spirit that US Growers is proud to sponsor the Sam Perricone Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship is available to the children of US Growers employees; it is intended to perpetuate Sam's generosity and philanthropy for generations to come.
Sam Perricone left a tremendous legacy of friends and family and more than anything else he will be remembered for "doing business" the right way.
