A new study by Robert Poole at the Reason Foundation estimates that it could take nearly $1 trillion to reconstruct, modernize and widen the Interstate highway system in all 50 states, and that the best way to cover the cost would be to charge drivers and truckers via all-electronic toll collection on the rebuilt Interstates.
