Kimberly Rodriguez, consultant and manager for BSI Consulting, was named one of Food Logistics' and Supply & Demand Chain Executive's 2024 Women in Supply Chain award winners in the Rising Stars category.

Rodriguez's journey toward becoming a top Woman in the Supply Chain started as a student in NYU Abu Dhabi, where she advocated for the rights of migrant workers involved in large construction projects, facilitating complex conversations between key academic and business stakeholders and giving first-hand exposure to supply chain issues related to labor rights. Now at BSI, she's spent the past seven years as a consultant specializing in sustainable supply chains, amplifying companies’ impacts through proactive supply chain engagements, especially in the areas of social compliance and human rights.

She also played a pivotal role in developing new service areas for BSI’s sustainability team such as supplier engagement programs for clients’ Tier-N suppliers, and creating tools to help clients navigate evolving sustainability regulations with detailed supply chain disclosure requirements. She's also helped expand her team beyond the United States and manages the team’s first APAC hire in the sustainability practice, providing guidance and direction to a new report in the opposite time zone.

Rodriguez sat down with Sarah Barnes-Humphrey, founder of Let's Talk Supply Chain podcast and Blended Pledge program, both presenting sponsors of the Women in Supply Chain award, to detail top tips in fighting impostor syndrome, the importance of having a support network, and why education is the key to opening doors to global supply chain opportunities.
