Port of L.A. Truck Rules Officially Struck Down

California court issues a permanent injunction against parts of the port’s clean trucks plan

A U.S. District Court Judge has finalized the provisions of the U.S. Supreme Court’s unanimous ruling in June that ruled portions of the port’s clean trucks plan violate federal preemption law and cannot be enforced.

This finishes a 2008 court case against the port brought against them by the American Trucking Associations, and means that the port cannot force fleets to submit parking plans or display placards before being allowed to operate. To read more, click HERE.
