Tempe, AZ July 10, 2001 KPMG Consulting today said that it will build integration solutions for the high-tech industry using tools from e-business infrastructure software company BEA Systems.
McLean, Va.-based KPMG Consulting, which split from tax and audit firm KPMG in February, will build the solutions with its own Configure to Fit (CTF) framework using San Jose, Calif.-based BEA's WebLogic Integration.
"The expansion of our very successful alliance with KPMG Consulting is an important part of our strategy to help enterprises more effectively deal with the challenges of integrating applications across Web-based systems," said Ivan Koon, president of BEA's e-commerce integration division. The alliance should produce faster integration implementations, Koon asserted.
WebLogic Integration combines the application development and deployment capabilities of BEA's WebLogic Server, a Java application server, with application integration, business process management and B2B integration capabilities. WebLogic Integration provides a standards-based integration framework that enables disparate applications to talk to each other using adapters and technologies based on common protocols and open standards.
KPMG Consulting's Configure to Fit solutions provide integration of business processes, workflows and data across disparate systems. This convergence may encompass business-critical functions such as collaborative product design, supply chain management and customer relationship management.
