Uber announced that it will acquire grocery delivery startup Cornershop. The acquisition of a majority ownership stake in the company is expected to take place in early 2020.

The Chile-based company was founded in 2015 and will continue to operate under Oska Hjertonsson, Daniel Undurraga and Juan Pablo Cuevas. Once Uber receives necessary regulatory sign-offs, it will have a seat on the board.
